Alright folks, it's Pancho here to start you off with Today's Surf Report. Although things were good today, we are expecting the effects of a tropical storm off the Pacific Coast of Nicaragua to kick in soon. Heavy rains and winds are being forecasted for the entire country. We are expecting the storm to pass in the next 24 to 48 hours but the winds are supposed to be onshore for at least a week after today. As a result, I think everybody is trying to get one last surf in before we lock 'em down. That said, today was really fun. In addition to a peaky, head-high swell, we had overcast skies and cool weather coupled with light offshore winds. We also had all three of our photographers working today, so I expect to see lots of good photos. Today we strapped the water housing up to our summer intern so we're going to start things off with some cool water shots. I love the new perspectives we are able to get with this thing. This is Carlos Caliente, pulling into a nice barrel in front of the fisheye.

The ladies were out charging today too. We love to see that! This is Carmen from HI who's here in Nicaragua for a summer community service project. She's helping underprivileged kids learn how to fix leaky pipes and broken televisions. She also gets to surf in her free time!

It was really fun and playful out there today but the occasional double-up/suck-up would come through every once in a while to keep you honest. This is our friend Jose from Managua grabbing one of the set waves and setting up for another barrel. (Yo Jose, we got some sick shots of you today!)

The hardest part about shooting water shots is being in the right position. It takes a lot of practice and effort to shoot a moving target with so much water moving. Carlos Caliente was killing it out there today and always seemed to find his way to the camera. This is one of the coolest shots we got today. Carlito, passing by right in front of camera.

We'd also like to give a cameo shout out to our friend Issac. He's been living in Nicaragua for a long time and I think this might be the first photo we've ever taken of him. Check it out Issac, you made it on NSR!

Hi folks, this is Lucha Libre and Come Pan with our report from up north. Today Jairo and I got hired for two different crews. Lets start today´s surf report with Jairo´s Crew. It´s super fun out there today, we had overhead set waves coming through, and the wind is offshore. Unforntunately it is still raining a lot down here in Nicaragua. Check it out.

Still in the same day Lucha Libre had a second crew and was taking a ton of good photos for these guys from Florida. Here is the lineup where these guys were catching a lot of good waves all by themselves.

Here comes Steve just seconds away from getting into that barrel. This guy was here 2 years ago and Lucha took some great photos of him then. so this time they came down and hired Lucha one more time and they scored too.

This is Matt ¨The Boss¨ or ¨The Big Boy¨, this guy is a paddle surf charger back in the US. This time he didn´t bring it down because it is too expensive so he decided to try on a surfboard. Here he is trying to catch a sweet wave. Good job my friend!!!

This is Porter with the last shot of the crew and the last shot of the day. This guy was catching a lot of good waves today making it hard for me to pick which one to post on NSR. Alright folks, that´s all for today. We are supposed to have onshore wind tomorrow because we have a storm coming in the pacific coast. Check back to what happens!
